Meet Cooper
Cooper is Richard’s Golden Retriever and a friendly part of the Senior Connections Canada story.
He loves people, enjoys being part of everyday community life, and is continuing his training toward possible future therapy-dog opportunities.
Why Cooper is part of the vision
Senior Connections Canada is about practical help, trust and human connection. Cooper naturally represents the warmer side of that idea. A friendly dog can help people feel more at ease, start conversations and bring a little extra joy to a visit.
For now, Cooper’s role is simply to be Cooper: a much-loved companion, a familiar face in the project, and a dog continuing to learn.
His current status
Cooper is still on his training and certification journey. He is not being presented or booked as a certified therapy dog. Any future therapy-dog role will depend on the appropriate qualification, insurance, permissions and operating readiness.

Cooper’s Corner
Over time, this page may also share some of Cooper’s adventures, training milestones and positive community moments. The aim is simple: a little warmth and connection, without turning Cooper into something he has not yet qualified to be.
